Six people have been killed and 50 people have been confirmed injured as a result of earthquake in most parts of the country including Azad Kashmir, Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the epicenter, the magnitude of the earthquake was 5.8 on the Richter scale and the depth was 10 km while the epicenter was in Mirpur city of Azad Kashmir.
Earthquake hit Mirpur, resulting in 50 people buried under rubble. Several people have been shifted to hospital with injuries while relief operations are underway. The earthquake caused severe cracks in the roads and several vehicles were overturned, causing traffic to collapse.

Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faisalabad, Taxila, Wah Cantt, Jhelum, Sohawa, Jhang, Sargodha, Samundri, Chiniot, Jindiala Sher Khan, Toba, Gujar Khan, Attock, Okara, Raiwand, Khushab, Jharwan, Federal Capital, Islamabad and various cities of Punjab. I have also felt tremors.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, earthquake tremors were also felt in several areas including Peshawar, Haripur, Abbottabad, Swabi, Buner, Swat, Dir, Chitral.


According to reports, earthquake tremors have been felt in Indian Punjab and Delhi.
Damage to Mangla Dam

Prime Minister Azad Kashmir's visit brief
